Trump Lashes Out at Bruce Springsteen, Calls Rock Legend “Dumb as a Rock” Over UK Concert Criticism

Date:

In a fiery post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump launched a personal attack on Bruce Springsteen after the rock legend delivered a scathing critique of his administration during a concert in Manchester, England.
Calling Springsteen “Highly Overrated” and “not a talented guy,” Trump unleashed a barrage of insults, branding the 75-year-old musician a “pushy, obnoxious JERK” and “dumb as a rock.” He further mocked Springsteen’s appearance, referring to him as a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker” and warned ominously, “Then we’ll all see how it goes for him” upon his return to the United States.
The backlash stems from Springsteen’s politically charged remarks during the kickoff of his “Land of Hopes and Dreams” tour. From the stage, the iconic artist decried Trump’s leadership as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous,” urging fans to resist authoritarianism and “let freedom ring.”
Springsteen’s comments throughout the night touched on issues ranging from free speech suppression to the abandonment of global humanitarian responsibilities, aligning his music and message with a call to civic action. He emphasized the role of everyday citizens as the last line of defense for democracy.
This isn’t the first time Trump has tangled with prominent musicians. Moments before attacking Springsteen, he reignited his feud with Taylor Swift, accusing her of disloyalty and media manipulation.
As the 2024 election cycle heats up, Trump’s tirades against cultural figures suggest he’s leaning into familiar culture war tactics—targeting outspoken entertainers to fire up his political base.
